Depression affects all ages, genders, races, nationalities, and socioeconomic classes. It can hit once out of the blue, appear intermittently, or last a lifetime if untreated. And it can be devastating, sometimes impairing one’s ability to perform the basic functions of life.
But the good news is that depression is highly treatable and can usually resolve within months. The vast majority of people with depression will experience a full recovery.
